BUSINESS PHOTOGRAPHY FOR YOUR WEBSITE & MARKETING
Business Photography for Your Website & Marketing
I photograph a lot of businesses. And I notice the same thing over and over: most websites are filled with stock photos. Generic images that could represent any business. People in meetings that never actually happened. Smiling faces from photo libraries. When someone lands on your website and sees those images, there's a disconnect. They know it's not real. People want real.
Here's what's interesting: when I shoot a business's actual workspace, their actual team, the actual work they do—something shifts. Simple things look fancy. Real things look trustworthy. Authentic beats staged every single time.
Why Stock Photos Don't Work for You
I get why businesses use them. Finding good photos is annoying. Stock libraries are convenient. But they don't represent your business. They represent a generic idea of what business looks like.
When you walk into a potential client's office and they see their website, and the photos on that website are clearly fake, it creates a subtle feeling that something's off. Maybe they can't put their finger on it, but they feel it. You don't look as established. You don't look as real.
Actual photos of your actual business send a different message. You invested in real imagery because you're serious about how you present yourself. Your team looks like people worth working with because they're your actual team. Your workspace looks professional because it's actually your workspace.
What Actually Changes When You Have Real Photos
I worked with Muscoreils Fine Desserts on their new website. We photographed their actual desserts, their workspace, the care that goes into what they do. When those photos went live on the site, people started commenting that things looked better than expected. More real. More inviting.
That's what real photography does. It doesn't exaggerate. It just shows the truth, and the truth is usually better than people think.
When you have actual photos of your business instead of stock images, a few things happen: Your website suddenly looks like it's actually about YOU. Your social media isn't generic anymore—it's showing people what you actually do. When you're promoting something or updating your audience, you're not hunting for photos that sort of represent your business. You already have them.
Photos Become Your Marketing Content
I photograph a business and suddenly those images work everywhere. On your website. On social media. In emails. In promotional materials. One shoot creates a whole library of content. Instead of constantly trying to find or create new images, you have authentic photos of your actual business that you can use over and over.
And they actually convert better because they're real. People connect with real photos. They trust real photos.
Simple Things Look Fancy When They're Photographed Right
One of my favorite things about business photography is this: when you photograph your actual work—whatever it is—authentically and professionally, it looks better than you expect. Not fake better. Just... better. Like it matters. Like it deserves to be noticed.
That's what real photography does. It's not about making things look like something they're not. It's about showing what's actually there in the best light.
